6 MONTAGUE TERRACE
BROOKLYN, N.Y.

Apartment hunt ing is no fun when you are very busy with other things. Now I am wondering whether you and Kate would like me to try and let the house. I am quite willing to see if it can be done and get someone to take inventory an pack your things should we find any one who would like to take it. I wish you woul talk it over with Kate and if you are willing for me to try and do it cable me. I ought to put it in the market right away if you wanted to do it.

If we dont rent it I will use some of the furniture we own together . Ofcourse I wont take any thing belonging to either one of you, I suppose it would be wise to h have the house wired and I will confer with Edward and see about the silver. I should think it wisest to take a safe in a vault and put it there rather than keep it in the house dont you think so? Please let me know what you and Kate think about it. I suppose if we rented it we would have to put in some repairs but we would get enough money to do it and it would not be any expense to us. That to my mind is the advantage of trying to rent it so that we wont have to pay for keeping the house in satisfactory condition.

I am sorry this letter is so full of business but it has to be. Are you really going away from your little placd so soon. I thought that you woul stay till October in Holland. From what you wrote I should judge that you were not, but perhaps you are going back?

Give my love to Kate and if you are at Tante Meta give all the dear people my love.
