  We have had very cold weather here this past week and the snow even now lies piled several feet high at the side of the road outside this house.

  It is terrible to have Miss Mary away,though I am glad that she is not yet beyond sight and sound. She needs a rest very badly,but,of course,it is hard to have most of one's interest removed at a blow.

  I hope you are feeling stronger and better for your rest.
