lage & very ugly inside, but the dome is beautiful & the fountains in front & the collonade.

The pictures of the Pope look as though he were a very kind man & he has arranged a fine gallery of the best [[strikethrough]] picture [[/strikethrough]] paintings which gave us more pleasure that all the other [[page is torn, good guess?]] rooms [[/page is torn, good guess?]] which his predesessors have decorated. From the windows of some parts of the galleries we could see the gardens of the Vatican which are very beautiful. Hoping you are all well
