Taos, Friday July 24th 1919

Dear Alfred;

I rode up into the mountains above the Pueblo yesterday & saw a large three-tailed tiger & many white Admirals -- and other black & white butterflies.

This morning I cought a small pink moth in an evening primrose. The evening primroses here grow almost as large as hollyhocks but are not sweet.

Many other flowers are very sweet & bright colored. I will try to press & mount a few of them with the butterflies or seperately.

I put a stick in my net & cought a pair of yellow & black butterflies which
