Hints on Drawing.

It is certainly very useful to know some of the rules of the proportions of different animals, if only to test your work ^[[by them]] sometimes.  
1 The body and legs of the average horse are contained in a square.
2 The legs of a man are as long[[strikethrough]]e[[/strikethrough]] as the trunk, neck and head, and, the extent of the armes equals the whole hight. [[strikethrough]] re [[/strikethrough]] the tips of the fingers, when the arm is hung at the side reach to mid-th[[strikethrough]]e[[/strikethrough]]igh.
3 A cow is usualy rather higher at the rump than at the shoulders.
