And I -- naturally, I blew up because he's a hearing doctor.

I see , yes. I grew in Missouri. I went to the Missouri School for the Deaf. And then came to Gallaudet College. After that I became a teacher in Nebraska and I taught there for nine years before I came back to Washington.

I'm not as uh--such a nomad--like Jack.

I grew up just about thirty miles from here in Baltimore, Maryland.

Started my education in an aural school but finished it in a hearing school. Then I did go to Gallaudet College.

Then after I graduated, I started teaching there. I was born and raised in Texas.

[[laughs]] And uh-- and my family moved to New York for a while and then I went down to Washington Gallaudet, graduated, got married, and stayed here and worked ever since.

Maybe thirteen, fourteen years, or--got a little brother here who's interpreting at the mic. I don't remember his history, but he lives in this area also.
