Dear Esther mine -
I must return the André Gide journals, sitting here gathering fines!
I clean forgot to have Oliver return them on Sat as I had planned.
One would like to have them lying around for the effect of stimulation as you graze through the pages

"Art is just as far from turmoil, as from apathy"

And this - upon the dismay of finding the loss in his garden of all the rare specimens - "Suppression of the fortunate cases ...." Inevitable dominance of the average types and even of those which are below the average" Said the anti-Darwinian Nietszche... "The average inferior types posess the greater fecundity and longevity" How about Bach!
