CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
of the 
TAIPEI INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CLUB

ARTICLE I
NAME

The name of this organization shall be the Taipei International Women's Club.

ARTICLE II
OBJECT

The object of this organization shall be to unite the women of Taipei for the purpose of their mutual benefit, and for the promotion of their common interests, including education, philanthropy, public welfare, moral values, civics and fine arts.

ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP

[[underlined]] Section 1. [[/underlined]] Eligibility: Any woman who is interested in the objectives of the organization shall be eligible for membership.
[[underlined]] Section 2. [[/underlined]] Application: An applicant for membership shall: a. Attend at least one general meeting of the Taipei International Woman's Club as the guest of a member. b. Have her name presented in writing to the Executive Committee by a sponsor and co-sponsor who are members in good standing. c. Before being voted upon for membership, she shall be required to wait for an orientation period of one month, during which time she shall be visited by a membership committee who will acquaint her with the purposes and functions of the club.
[[underlined]] Section 3. [[/underlined]] Election to membership: Following the waiting period, the name of the applicant shall be presented to the Executive Committee for approval. At its regular monthly meetings, the Executive Committee shall vote on those applications which have met the provisions of the Section 2 of this article. If the applicant receives a majority vote in the affirmative, she shall be declared elected to membership.
