- 12 - Foundation, and Public Law 101-185, the Regents appointed a 25-member Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the American Indian on January 29, 1990. Recently, resignations brought two vacancies to the Board, and the Trustees have recommended appointment of Ann Rockefeller Roberts and Keith H. Basso. Brief biographical data on the proposed appointees follows, as does a full list of the membership as proposed. The following motion is suggested. VOTED that the Board of Regents, in accordance with Public Law 101-185, appoints to the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the American Indian Ann Rockefeller Roberts and Keith H. Basso for terms consonant with the provisions of the Trustees' Bylaws. Ann Rockefeller Roberts is the founder of the Fund of the Four Directions, a private philanthropic organization. She is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Mind/Body Medical Institute and the MS. Foundation. Her past affiliations include: President of the Rockefeller Family Fund, the National Women's Political Caucus, and Trustee of the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation in New York City. Dr. Keith H. Basso, formerly of Yale University, is Professor at the University of New Mexico. His books include: The Cibecue Apache, Portraits of "The Whiteman": Linguistic Play and Cultural Symbols Among the Western Apache, Western Apache Language and Culture: Essays in Linguistic Anthropology. He has been a fellow of the American Anthropological Association and is currently a Director for the Association on American Indian Affairs. He is also a member of the National Research Council Graduate Minority Fellowship Committee and the Quincentennial Committee of the Arizona Council on the Humanities.
