SENIOR LEVEL RECRUITMENTS

Recruitment is currently under way for the position of Assistant Director for Research and Collections at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and Freer Gallery of Art, with a closing date of May 15, 1992, for the receipt of applications. Positions closed for receipt of applications and in process include the directorships of the Office of Financial and Management Analysis, Office of Equal Employment and Minority Affairs, and the Office of Protection Services, all within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Finance and Administration. Other senior level recruitments pending selection are the Deputy Director, National Museum of the American Indian and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Service. A tentative selection has been made for the position of Director of Information Strategies (Chief Information Officer). Dr. Sudeep Anand, formerly with Citibank of New York, was selected for appointment to the position of Treasurer, effective March 23, 1992.

All of the above positions have been advertised broadly and contact made with various minority and women's organizations to draw a wide pool of highly qualified applicants. In addition, the Office of Human Resources recently established an executive level automated job line through which candidates for Senior level positions may call and receive appropriate materials and information for Senior level positions by return mail.
