SANTA ROSA, October 8, - Some day next week Fred J. Wiseman expects to fly from Petaluma to Santa Rosa, sixteen miles, in the new Wiseman-Peters biplane, which has been build in Petaluma at Kenilworth Park. A successful test was made with the machine. Wiseman flew three-quarters of a mile at a height of one hundred feet. The machine to-day demonstrated that its possibilities are great. Experts have pronounced it perfect. Wiseman and Peters built it.

WOMEN DID MUCH FOR RINCON SCHOOL

Mrs. H. W. Austin, after serving thirteen years as trustee of the Rincon grammar school, announces she will not be a candidate for re-election on April 5. Mrs. A.W. Wiseman, who retired last year, had served nineteen years in the same capacity. Both ladies are deserving of much credit for the manner in which they devoted their time and efforts to the upbuilding of the school. They spared no effort to advance its interest on all occasions.
During the time these ladies served as trustees two rooms have been added to the school house, there now being three teachers. A new fence has been erected around the property, a new well dug, tank house and windmill erected, water piped through the building, and drinking fountains erected for the use of the children. About 65 pupils have been graduated from the school in these years.
Mrs. L. Lynn of the district has consented to run as a candidate for the office this year at the earnest solicitation of the ladies and other interested in the welfare of the school.
