Children's Church To Present First Christmas Service

THe Children's Church of the Arlington Avenue Community Church, Arlington Ave, and Rincon Rd., will hold its first Christmas service at 9:45 a.m. Sunday when "The Story of Jesus' Birth" will be presented in a program of worship combining scripture, carols and drama.

The Girls Choir under the leadership of Mrs. Mildred Fowells will sing special numbers during the interludes. Parents and friends are invited to attend this servcice as well as the regular 11 o'clock service of worship.

Rev. Herbert Dimock, the pastor, will preach at the morning service on "Christ Was Born at Midnight." The music by congregation, choir and solist will express the joy of mankind for the Bethlehem manger baby. The choir will be under the leadership

Northbrae Methodists Will Present Pagean

A Christmas pageant, entitled "The Hope of the World" by Helen M. Roberts, will be given at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the sanctuary of the Northbrae Methodist Church, Hopkins and Napa Sts. The choir, under the direction of Louis P. Nash, will sing several Christmas selections, including "And the Glory of the Lord" by Handel, "Ave Verum" by Burd and the Fifteenth Century French Carol, "Sing Noel."

The pageant includes eight episode which depict the Christmas story from the Prophetic Promise to the Fulfillment.  Mrs. Fred H. Elliott is directing the pageant with Bob Brown, assistant.

"The Glorious News We Bring" is the sermon topic for the morning worship service at 11:00 a.m.  Berlyn V. Farris, minister, will conduct the service.  Louis P. Nash will lead the choir in its Christmas anthems and Clara M. Mueller, organist, will play selections of Christmas music, starting at 10:45 a.m.  Children's Church, for children of five to nine years of age, will meet during the morning wor-

The Albany High School A Capella Choir will present a Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday as part of the first anniversary of the new church.  This choir has prepared the music carefully for various concerts, of which this is the last on the Christmas program.  Other events of the anniversary will include a baptism at the 9:15 a.m. church school service, the blessing of the pall and burse and veil at the 11 a.m. service of morning prayer, a carol-manger service at 4 p.m. when the church school
