Plattner, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee S. Plattner, R 6, died April 4 of wounds suffered in Germany. He was a member of the U.S. Blue Ridge Division. Pvt. Herbert Simons, 25, who enlisted here in June 1944, was killed in action in Germany on March 22. He was a 1939 graduate of CCHS. His wife, Edith, lived in Fort Wayne. S. Sgt. William F.
