Special train left Jersey City Sunday, September 17th, 1911, at 5:02 P.M., consisting of Erie Baggage Car 191 and Pullman Buffet Broiler Sleeper Zurich. The Personnel of the train was as follows:

On the morning of September 18th, Aviator Rodgers, in attempting to take flight, flew into a tree, demolished his aeroplane, and new parts were ordered from the Wright Bros.' factory at Dayton, Ohio. Shortly after 2:00 P.M. September 21st, the damage had been repaired, and the Special left Middletown, N.Y. at 2:33 P.M. with the additional people on board:

Special train arrived Callicoon, N.Y., at 4:00 P.M., where Wright Bros.' Chief Mechanician, Chas. Taylor, boarded the train. Special proceeded immediately to Hancock, arriving there at 4:30 P.M., September 21st.

In alighting about one mile east of Hancock, Aviator Rodgers slightly damaged his aeroplane. Engine of Special took Rodgers and his Mechanician to Hancock and returned with them immediately with some repair material. The special then proceeded to Hancock, arriving as stated above.

On the morning of Sept. 22nd, a heavy fog prevented an early start from Hancock. Special left Hancock at 11:06 A.M. Sept. 22nd. On arriving at Susquehanna, Pa., it was learned that Aviator Rodgers had taken the wrong course and followed the B.&H. Co. tracks. He landed at Scranton, Pa., discovered his mistake, and flew back to Great Bend, Pa., to which point Special proceeded. After a short stop both Special and Aviator Rodgers proceeded to Binghampton,N.Y., arriving there at 4:00 P.M. Special left Binghamton at 4:43 PM and arrived Elmira, N.Y. 5:50 PM.
