At Elmira, Pullman 12 section sleeper Fabriz was substituted for the damaged Zurich, Porter Barns and Buffet Man Lawrence both accompanying sleeper Fabriz.

Special train left Elmira, N.Y. Sept. 23rd at 2:19 P.M. (heavy fog early in the morning) proceeded to Canisteo, where Aviator Rodgers had landed. Stopped there about 30 minutes and went to Hornell, N.Y., arriving there at 4:30 P.M. September 23rd.

Special train left opposite field just east of Hornell, where Rodgers started, at 10:18 A.M., Sept. 24th; arrived Olean at 12:25 P.M., where Rodgers landed. Rodgers and Special train left Olean at 1:478 P.M. Special train arrived Salamanca, N.Y. at 2:30 P.M., where Rodgers landed account magneto trouble. In attempting to take flight from Red House his aeroplane struck a wire fence and again demolished it. The Special train returned 8 miles to Salamanca, N.Y. New parts ordered and on Monday evening, Sept. 25th, mechanicians worked on aeroplane hoping to have it ready for flight Wenesday afternoon or Thursday morning.

At Hornell, N.Y., morning of Sept. 24th, Pullman buffet car Orison was substituted for the Fabriz, Porters Brown and Lawrence accompanying the Orison.

Sept. 28th, Erie coach 1056 was placed in service and Special train left Salamanca at 9:35 A.M. Reached Meadville, Pa., at 11:54 A.M., where Rodgers had landed on the Fair Grounds for oil and gasoline. Rodgers and Special train left Meadville at 1:37 P.M. and followed the old main line of the Erie. Special train reached Warren, Ohio, at 2:50 P.M., where Rodgers and Special train left Warren at 4:45 P.M., arriving at Kent, Ohio, at 5:35 P.M.
