For the first time women pilots were invited to cooperate with the Army Reserves.  We were ordered by the Commanding Officer at Fort Ethan Allen to fly in as a Corps detail and carry out a prescribed Tour of Duty. We were to do the scouting, reporting "enemy" positions from time to time to the ground forces. [[strikethrough]] Four [[strikethrough]] ^[[3]] members of the Corps were ready with their planes to proceed to Fort Ethan Allen, these were:  Manila Davis, [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]], Maurice Ames and Opal Kunz.  Only the density of the foggy weather, which even air mail did not fly in, prevented us from carrying out this most interesting and important experiment.  They had arranged "billets" for our use, and we were to be received by the Commanding Officers of the Post, as well as by civilian organizations in that part of the country. We were also asked to participate in the Virginia National Guard maneuvres, through the efforts
