THRILLS MARK WOMEN'S PLANE RACES

National Air Meet for Women To Be at Vandalia August 4th & 5th

Prominent society women of Dayton and Oakwood will serve on committees arranging for the women's National Air Meet which is to take place on Saturday and Sunday August 4th and 5th at the Municipal Airport at Vandalia.

The annual meeting of the Women's Aeronautical association is scheduled for the preceding day, Friday, and it has been through the efforts of Mrs. George Shaw Greene, national president that the races were arranged to follow. Mrs. Greene, as president of the association, has on her executive board, Mrs. Don M. Peabody, of Coral Gables, Florida, first vice president; Mrs. Ulysses Grant McQueen of Beverley Hills, California, second vice president; Marguerite Jacobs Herron, of Dayton, secretary, and Mrs. Ralph Messer, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, treasurer.

Miss Martha Smith heads the Dayton unit of the aeronautical association; Mrs. Robert C. Austin is first vice president; Mrs. Edward M: Powers is second vice president; Mrs. Ployer P. Hill is corresponding secretary; [[pencil underlined]] Mrs. B.B. Talley [/pencil underlined]] is recording secretary; Mrs. J. Edward Grimm is treasurer.

Mrs. Louise Barlow Heikes is serving as general chairman for all social activities during the three-day's program here. She has appointed as her honorary chairman Mrs. H.E. Talbott and Mrs. John Bradley Greene.

Mrs. Robert Goolrick and Mrs. Frederick H. Coleman are co-chairmen of the hostess committee to serve at all functions and Mrs. Henry Conger Pratt is honorary chairman. Assisting them Carl P Hirsch, Mrs. J.M. Hollett, will be Mrs. W.S. Bernard, Mrs. Mrs. A.T. Knoderer, Mrs. Greer Marechal, Mrs. George Marshall, Mrs. JJames Phillips, Mrs. Harry I. Schenck, Mrs. Will I. Ohmer, Mrs. George V. Holloman, and Mrs. J.S. Early.

Members of other important committees are:

Publicity - Mrs. Walter Bayley, chairman; Mrs. T.C. Sheridan, Mrs. D.B. Howard, and Mrs. V.A. Strahm.

Registration (of visiting delegates) - Mrs. A.E. Jones, chairman; Mrs. Charles Dale, Mrs. O.P. Echols, Mrs. E.D. Smith and Mrs. David G. Lingle.

Banquet Reservations - Mrs. E. B. Tizzard, chairman; Mrs. R.A. Herbruck, Mrs. C.V. Courter, Mrs. F.M. Hopkins, Mrs. A.H. Johnson and Mrs. Frank Irvin.
