Capt. V.R.C. and Asst Supt.  Sept. 28" 1866.

States that the Surgeon on duty on the Island is very sick, and that there is no other Surgeon on the Island to attend to the patients, and asks that some one may be sent to relieve him. Endorsement of Lt. Col. S. Moore. Supt. Eastern District. Respectfully forwarded to Capt. Chur. A.A.A.G. for the information and action of the Asst. Commissioner. Endorsement of Capt. Jacob. F. Chur. A.A.A.G. Respectfully referred to Surgeon M.K. Hogan Surgeon in Chief for his action. Endorsement of Surg. M.K. Hogan. Bvt. Lt. Col. Surg. in Chief. Respectfully returned to Capt. Jacob F. Chur. A.A.A. Genl. A.A. Surgeon J.K. Fleming was ordered on the 13" Sept. to relieve temporarily Dr. Chapin from duty on Roanoke Island N.C.
