returned to Bvt. Lt. Col. M K. Hogan. Surg. in Chief with report of Bvt. Col. Jno R. Edie U.S.A. Supt. Endorsement of Bvt. Lt. Col. M.K. Hogan. Surg. in Chief. Respectfully returned to Capt. Jacob F. Chur. A.A.A. General. The building at the Freedman's Camp to which it is proposed to transfer the Sick at Salisbury, was originally erected as a mere shelter for the homeless and will need considerable repairs to make it at all fit for use as a Hospital. If the proposed transfer [[underlined]] must be made [[/underlined]] I respectfully recommend that the Q.M. be instructed to at once put the building in a proper condition for the reception and treatment of the sick. I know from a recent personal inspection of that building that it is in its present condition totally unfit to afford comfortable shelter for the sick.
