ARTICLE I. NAME

Section 1.  This organization, incorporated under the provisions of Title 29, Chapter 6, Section 601 of the Code of Laws for the District of Columbia, 1951 Edition (31 Stat. 1285) on 20 February 1953, shall be known as THE AIR FORCE HISTORICAL FOUNDATION.

ARTICLE II. PURPOSE

Section 1.  The Air Force Historical Foundation, an independent, incorporated body, existing by and with the sanction of the law, shall be intimately associated with, and will at all times coordinate its program [[strikethrough]] to serve the interests and policies of[[/strikethrough]] activities with the United States Air Force.  None of the net earnings of this Foundation shall inure to the benefit of any individual.

Section 2.  In accordance with the purpose as stated in the certificate of incorporation, "The particular business and objects of the incorporated society are educational and literary; to preserve the annals of American Air Power, especially the annals of the United States Air Force" (including the former Balloon Section, Aeronautical Division, and Aviation Section of the Signal Corps, the former Division of Military Aeronautics, Air Service, Army Air Forces, and all other predecessor organizations), "its components, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and of the individuals of whom they are composed; and to disseminate to the public and to posterity accurate and complete historical information on air subjects; and to preserve in a central repository significant materials depicting the history, culture, and traditions of the United States Air Force" and the organizations which preceded it.

Section 3.  Title to historical materials acquired by the Foundation shall vest in the Foundation and such historical materials may not be given
