ARTICLE VIII. AMENDMENTS

Section 1. This Constitution may be altered or amended only by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members voting on the question and only at an annual meeting of the Air Force Historical Foundation, provided that not less than ten per cent of the total active membership shall cast a vote. Proposals for amendment must be submitted in writing to the Secretary at least three months in advance of the meeting of the Board of Trustees preceding the annual meeting, and all members of the Foundation shall be notified thereof at least two months in advance of such annual meeting. In the event a member is not able to attend the annual meeting at which the amendment is to be voted upon, he may cast his ballot by mail upon ballots provided by the Secretary. Such ballots shall be counted by the Secretary at the annual meeting and recorded in the official tally of the vote as though the voter were present in person.
