NOTES ON SUPPLY AND REPAIR SYSTEM.

November 23, 1917.

To consist of the following:

Aerodromes
Post Depots
Paris Depots
One or more other depots in the intermediate section of L. of C.

Receiving Stations.

Is-sur-Tille, about 25 kilometers north of Dijon. To receive airplanes mainly by railroad and to ship to Advance mostly by railroad. Some are to be delivered by air. To have regulation station, stores, etc. Storage of general munitions, spare parts, etc. To handle about 15 days' supply as reserve for Advance.

Chatillon, about 25 kilometers west of Chaumont. Mainly for airplanes delivered by air from L. of C. and delivered to Front by air.

These two stations to have full 15 days' supply in reserve of airplanes.

In the vicinity of Dijon, a receiving and repair station for trucks and other rolling stock, also for hangars, tents, etc.

Air Depot near Colombey-les-Belles to serve from 35 to 50 squadrons and the balloon companies in the sector of Commercy-Nancy.

A similar air depot somewhere in the vicinity of Vitres-le-Francois serving a similar number of squadrons for the Verdun-St. Mihiel sector.

Another air depot in the vicinity of St. Dizier serving a similar number of squadrons for the St. Mihiel-Commercy sector.

Another air depot in the vicinity of Vezelise serving sector Nancy-Luneville.

Another air depot somewhere in the vicinity of Epinal serving squadrons for the Mirecourt-Epinal region.

Location of flying fields not yet approved. One under construction at Amanty, one at Colombey-les-Belles, and some 30 odd more to be selected.
