Memorandum For Mr. MacCracken.

Subject: Fog devices.

Reference is made to previous proposition of mine for experimentation with a balloon to mark landing fields in fog, and to enable descent, supplemented by a definite proposition made by Roy Knabenshue.

Major Wm, B. Robertson, operating the St. Louis-Chicago route, has, independently, as a result of the Lindbergh jump, proposed a smiliar scheme, which he says has been approved as a solution by all the pilots centered in Haywood.

Attached is a sketch which covers all the elements of the proposal.
