X. MILITARY CONDITIONS IN THE FAR EAST
1. Military condition in the Far East among all the white countries are quite similar. They occupy their respective domains with ground, air, and naval forces of the purpose of keeping the inhabitants under their control and for the purpose at present of a white nation to take away from another its territorial possessions in the Far East.
2. All of the white nations look with apprehension at the rising military power of Japan. Japan's total military strength is growing constantly. She is stronger in all ways than she has been in our history.
3. China's enormous number of soldiers are fit only for domestic use and have comparatively little value for repelling invasion and less for an offensive campaign against any other power.
