Subject: Preliminary Report of the Inspection of Air Service Activities in the Hawaiian Department. To: The Chief of Air Service, Washington, D.C. PREFACE The Army Transport "CAMBRAI", on which I was a passenger, arrived at Honolulu on the morning of October 29, 1923. We were escorted up to the approach to the harbor by all units of the Air Force stationed in the Hawaiian Department. Shortly after landing I reported to General Summerell who received me with a giard of honor and had his staff assembled for presentation to me.
