INSTRUCTIONS.

Every officer or other employee of the Department of Agriculture conducting work while traveling will, so far as practicable, keep a diary in which will be recorded, under an appropriate date entry, a concise state of all important matters pertaining to such work and also of any general matters that may be of interest to the Department.

This diary will be retained by the official preparing same, but will be subject to call by the administrative officers of the Department, including the Disbursing Officer, at any time.

When this book is filled another may be secured by application to the Chief of your Bureau or to the Disbursing officer of the Department.
