[[caption]] Among those who completed the March in Memphis called by the slain leader were: City Councilman Ed Koch of New York, Councilman Ted Weiss, State Senator Orenstein, Assemblyman Jerry Kretchmer and Martin Gold of Bronx Borough Presidents Office of New York.

[[caption]] The photo was taken by DELEGATES roving photographer, who participated in the Memphis March the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was scheduled to make. The crowd which numbered in the thousands and came from all over the world to pay their respects to Dr. King's memory and to fulfill their faith in his efforts to aid the sanitation workers of Memphis, Tennessee. A week after this photo was taken, the strike which cost Dr. King his life was settled. [[/caption]]
