Strikingly attractive, young, and according to her critics, "unusually personable," WCBS-TC News Correspondent Joan Murray, as judged by one of the major daily newspapers, "has a lilting sense of humor and is blessed with a speaking voice that does not grate on masculine ears."

The young woman to whom that tribute was paid not too long ago has been with WCBS-TV as a correspondent since April 1965. her current major assignment is as co-host with Jim Jenson of the 2 AT ONE news and feature broadcast (1:00-1:30 PM, weekdays).

Miss Murray began her career in broadcasting as a secretary in the CBS Television Network Press Information Department, and in the company's Corporate Division. She has since worked as a production secretary on the Network's "Candid Camera" program, and has gained additional experience by performing in radio and television commercials, industrial films, and in small parts in various motion pictures and television programs..
