[[caption]] NEW YORK YANKEE STAR ROY WHITE AGAIN TO SELL SPORTS FOR CBS RADIO SPOT SALES.
Roy White, star outfielder of the New York Yankees, begins his second year as an account executive for CBS Radio Spot Sales. The appointment was announced today by Charles H. Warner, Vice President, CBS Radio Division, and General Manager, CBS Radio Spot Sales and will be effective Monday, October 26.

In making the announcement, Mr. Warner said, "I'm delighted to have Roy White back on our team. In his first year selling for CBS Radio Spot Sales, Roy made a significant contribution, performing with the same drive, competitiveness and desire to succeed that he demonstrates on the playing field." 

White's primary responsibilities will be the Special Sales Unit, selling a wide variety of sports programs broadcast on the fourteen radio stations represented by CBS Radio Spot Sales. He will also be involved in selling other special programs and events.

One of the club's most consistent performers, White has led the Yankees in total hits for the last three seasons. During the 1970 season, his .296 batting average, 94 RBI's, 30 stolen bases and 22 home runs (2nd only to Murcer) helped the Yankees to a strong second place finish in the East Division of the American League. [[caption]] FRANKLIN A. THOMAS has been elected to the Board of Directors of Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc., it was announced by CBS Chairman William S. Paley. Mr. Thomas is president of the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, a local community organization which develops and implements programs in housing, economic development and manpower to improve living conditions and create employment opportunities in Central Brooklyn.
