YOUTH MOVE INTO THE SPOTLIGHT ...
"Bridging the Understanding Gap" means Sorors and Kopelles (LKM Youth Guidance Group) planned and "worked" the Youth Assembly which convened at the same time as the Conclave.

National Youth Coordinator, Mrs. Betty Shelton checks last minute details with Host Chapter Youth Coordinator, Mrs. Peti Greene, of Flint, Michigan; and Miss Barbara Hill, Kappa Chapter, Boston, Massachusetts (standing).

Kopelle Williamson, one of the 1973 scholarship awardees, as a representative of all awarded, said a collective "thanks" to the Sorority.

"PROGRAM WITH A PURPOSE"

The program themes of LAMBDA KAPPA MU SORORITY, INC. reflect the Sorority emphasis on coping with realities of our society by accepting a positive role in community affairs.

AS an organization of business and professional women, LAMBDA KAPPA MU, founded in 1937 by the late FLORENCE K. NORMAN, and incorporated in the State of New YOrk, represents a cross-section of business interests and professional activities. The members have a unique opportunity to participate in cultural and educational activities while further developing individual skills and collectively performing noteworthy community service.

THE SORORITY is a National Affiliate of the NATIONAL COUNCIL OF NEGRO WOMEN, INC., United Church Women, and the National Council of Women.

LAMBDA KAPPA MU extends its interest in youth incentives through membership in The National COMMITTEE ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH, and its contributions to the National URBAN LEAGUE for its Youth Projects.
