UNITED CHURCH USHERS

The National United Church Ushers Association of America, Inc., was founded in 1919 by Elijah Hamilton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and chartered in 1922. The Organization is structured to promote better Church ushering and establish Christian social and moral activities in the church.

The organization embraces all denominations. It has successfully broken down the barriers in denominational discrimination.

The National body establishes a sensitive relationship with various state usher associations and maintains a unified system of ushering for all churches affiliated with the National.

The National United Church Ushers Association of America, Inc., is known from the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans.  Member states include: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New England, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington State, Wisconsin, Mississippi and Utah.
