[[underlined]] THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE [[/underlined]]

The 68th Anniversary Convention will mark the second year of Alpha's New Agenda. The convention theme is "Alpha's Outreach for Community Service" with emphasis on the expansion and improvement of black businesses, and job placement. The convention will be dedicated to our beloved Founder, Jewel Brother Henry Arthur Callis.

San Francisco - "The Golden Gate City", a city of charm, color, progressive and exciting - is a fitting setting to launch the second phase of Alpha's program of community service.

The Convention Newsletter recently mailed to the entire membership announced general information about the 1974 San Francisco convention. This brochure will list the specifics being planned by the Bay Area host chapters, and the National Conventions Committee.

As General President, I extend to all Brothers, their families and guests a warm and cordial welcome to the 68th Anniversary Convention. Our goal is 3,000 convention registrants - JOIN ME IN SAN FRANCISCO!

Fraternally,

Walter Washington
General President
