Shropshire, (right) Vice President, Market Planning, for "unselfishly giving their time and talent to the successful sickle cell program in Arkansas." Commendation certificates were awarded by Dr. Roosevelt Brown (center), Arkansas Sickle Cell Council. Receiving the awards were (left) John A. Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer, Miller Brewing Company, and Shropshire. Dr. Brown credited the Miller officials with helping to create "an awakening interest in sickle cell, plus the inspiration and realization that this health problem can be eradicated." [[/caption]]

[[caption]] Raymond S. Wright has been named Field Sales Supervisor for the Miller Brewing Company. Edward W. Frantl, Vice President-Sales, announced the appointment recently.

In his new position, Wright will assist Miller field sales personnel and distributors in developing field sales programs with special emphasis in the ethnic market. He will report to L. J. Goldstein, Field Sales Manager, and will function in Miller's Northern, Central and Southern regions.

Wright joined Miller in May, 1973. Most recently, he was an Area Manager in the Detroit marketing area. Before joining Miller, he had previous brewing experience.

Miller is an operating company of Philip Morris Incorporated. Brands include Miller High Life; Lite beer; Miller Malt Liquor; Miller Ale and Meister Brau. Miller High Life, one of three national premium beers, is marketed in all 50 states and 56 other countries. Miller also imports Lowenbrau beer under a multi-phase agreement with Lowenbrau Munich A.G., the world-famous 600 year old German Brewery. [[/caption]]
