NATIONAL UNITED CHURCH USHERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, INC. was founded in 1919 by Mr. Elijah Hamilton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was chartered three years later. The purpose of the organization is to promote and uniform Church ushering, to establish Christian social and moral activities in the Church.

The oragnization embraces all denominations and has successfully broken down many barriers of discrimination. It is comprised of twenty four States anl [[and?]] the New England States who have give FIFTY SIX YEARS of Christian Service.
