[[caption]]In "Bubbling Brown Sugar," the new Harlem musical revue which will premiere at the Anta Theatre {52nd St. W of B'way) on March 2nd. Now previewing through February 29, "Bubbling Brown Sugar" stars Avon Long, Josephine Premice, Vivian Reed and Joseph Attles. The show celebrates most of the famous people, places and night spots of Harlem from 1910-1940, with music and songs by such greats as Fubie Blake, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Andy Razaf, Cab Calloway, Earl "Fatha" Hines, W.C. WIZ, THE - Majestic Theatre, 247 W 44th St. 246-0730. Tue-Thur 7:30 pm, Wed 2 pm, Sat 2 pm, & Sun 3 pm, $6-$13; Fri & Sat 7:30 pm, $6-$15. This all-black—music, dance, soul—adaptation of Frank Baum's classic fantasy features Geoffrey Holder's direction and costume design, Charlie Small's rock score, and  George Faison's choreography. Stephanie Mills is Dorothy, while her trio of traveling companions on the yellow brick road are Hinton Battle, Ted Ross, and Tiger Haynes. It may not be the Wiz that wuz, but it's the Wiz that is.
