ALICE DEMERY TRAVIS

The Charles S. Gerber production "For You, Black Woman" has received quick and enthusiastic approval from its national sponsor, Nicholas Products, to begin a second thirteen-week production cycle, it was announced by Charles S. Gerber, President of the media marketing firm Gerber/Carter Communications and its production subsidiary TWG.
  
The syndicated show, the first television production aimed specifically to the Black female audience, has been cleared by stations in 36 markets. New stations added by Mr. Gerber since the show was announced last month include KABC-TV, Los Angeles; WTAF-TV, Philadelphia; KDOG-TV, Houston; and WSYR-TV, Syracuse.
  
The first thirteen shows were taped this May, with many stations starting the series in June. Alice Demery Travis, former network and local on-air personality, is hostess. The well-known Black producing team of Fred Dukes and Felicidad are co-producers, with Dick Perin as Executive Producer.
  
The sponsor, Nicholas Products of New Berlin, Wisconsin, makes Ambi, Tamba, and Vigorol, and are signed for 1 1/2 minutes in the half-hour show.
  
In making the announcement, Mr. Gerber said, "The faith that Nicholas Products and Gerber/Carter Communications have in the unique new talk show is now being echoed by station management and local television editors. The service the program performs for the Black women of America is immense. Miss Travis and her guests fill a void in television entertainment and education for Black women."
  
Some of the topics discussed in the first thirteen programs are Government programs and job opportunities for Black women, educational problems of Black children, skin and hair care, Black marriages, fashion, consumer affairs, Black parent-child relationships, and confronting attackers and repelling rapists.

ANNA MONIQUE BOND

Anna Monique Bond began her WABC-TV career in November, 1970 as an administrative assistant to the director of Local News and Public Affairs. Today, only three years later, she is the third woman to become a regular correspondent on Channel 7's "EYEWITNESS NEWS" program.
  
Prior to her appointment as a reporter in August, 1973, Anna was a WABC-TV newswriter from February, 1972, responsible for writing and producing the station's news programs telecast during the early-morning "A.M. NEW YORK" series. She also served as a part-time producer of weekend news programs, as a remote and field producer for various local news stories/features, and prepared news copy and edited film for presentation on the Six and Eleven O'Clock editions of "EYEWITNESS NEWS." A news researcher for the Channel 7 series "EYEWITNESS NEWS CONFERENCE" and the former "EYEWITNESS NEWS EXCLUSIVE" from August, 1971 through February, 1972, Anna also held the positions of Administrative Assistant to the station's Vice President and General Manager and Administrative Assistant to the News and Public Affairs Director.
  
Prior to this, she was Benefit Coordinator for the "Tribute to Duke Ellington" held at Madison Square Garden and Assistant Coordinator of Television and Radio for the New York City School System.
  
A graduate of Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting, Anna Bond resides in Queens, New York.
