The American Association of Blacks in Energy held its Winter Conference at the Galleria Plaza Hotel, Houston, Texas, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, January 23-25 1980.

The conference focused on "Black America: The Energy Depression."  It featured several workshops, panels and major addresses by renowned experts in energy and from the Black Community.
