Weekend of May 17, 1980

These pictures were taken at the Annual Christmas Party of the New York Chapter of the Gay Northeasterners. The affair attended by guests from all over the eastern seaboard was held at the St. Regis Hotel, New York City and the Police Department of New York City were recipients of bullet-proof vests donated by the club.

Among the guests were: Judge Robert Levister; Judge and Mrs. Herbert Evans; Judge and Mrs. Edward Dudley; Mr. and Mrs. John Procope; Mr. and Mrs. Billy Rowe; Dr. and Mrs. James P. Jones; Dr. and Mrs. Phil Beach; the Hon. Ursa Poston; Cab Calloway; M. Pemberton; Irene Baker; Mr. and Mrs. James; Fred Cooke and Sanford Moore.

Members of the New York Chapter who participated were: Laurie Whitney, Vivian Melville, Florence Dixon, Louise Moore, Nuffy Calloway, Joy Cooke, Ruby Cooper, Mary Davies, Edna Christine Hightower, Mary Jacobs, Esther James, Lerlaine Levister, Lois Smallwood, Ethel Hicks, Vivian Hewitt and Roxy Campanella.
