Born in Pike County, Missouri was educated in the public schools of Hannibal, Missouri. Her graduate and Post-graduate studies were pursued at Howard University and at the Pennsylvania School of Social Work.

Pearl Anna Neal
Co-Founder

After having graduated from the Howard University Conservatory of Music, she matriculated as a graduate student at the celebrated Julliard School of Music in New York, and at the Chicago Music Institute.

Fannie Pettie
Co-Founder

Fannie Pettie, now Mrs. John C. Watts, is a social worker in Brooklyn, New York. However, she was born near the eastern extremity of the southern part of our country, at Perry, Georgia. Her parents were Attorney Foster B. Pettie and Fannie Rollins Pettie.

Viola Tyler
Co-Founder

Flushing, Ohio was the birthplace of Viola Tyler-Goings, who, at the end of her high school career, became a coed at Howard University. She was graduate from that institution.

Myrtle Tyler
Co-Founder

Myrtle Tyler, like her sister (Viola Tyler), was born in Flushing Ohio. 
Upon receiving her diploma from high school, she matriculated at and was graduated from Howard University.[[/caption]]
