A highlight of the 1980 Convention of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, which convened in San Francisco December 27-30, 1980, was the presentation of a check in the amount of $2,000 (two thousand dollars) to support the work of the George F. Meares Memorial Fund. "The Money," Mrs. Minnie J.Meares, director of the Fund said, "will be used to help some worthy students as they seek to complete their college education." Photos shown on these pages attest to the contribution which was presented by Mrs. Sam Joyner and Mr. Robert Pulley of the Kobrand Corporation at the convention.

The Kobrand Corporation sponsored a sophisticated reception for the officers of the Fraternity and the Foundation at which Bouvet Brut Champagne and Beefeater Gin were served.
