MOTLEY'S Seven Point Plan
Executed by Ifill, Johnson and Hanchard

The architectural firm of Ifill and Johnson was started five years ago when New York University trained Percy Ifill and Harvard trained Conrad Johnson decided to cast their lot together. Two years later they were able to add Birmingham (England) University trained C. George Hanchard into the firm as partner.

Today, Ifill and Johnson boasts 20 employees and are located on the entire ninth floor of 49 West 45th Street, in New York City. Ifill and Johnson has been responsible for producing the architectural plans of three PAL Centers; four bank buildings belonging to Carver Federal Loans and Savings, and the Freedom National Bank, Three Church Community centers of eight or more stories; a State Office Building to be erected at 125th Street and Seventh Avenue and two housing projects namely Village East (pictured below) and Hudson View Plaza, to be constructed at 158th Street and Riverside Drive, Ifill and Johnson are the architects of the swimming pool and bath houses to be erected in Mount Morris Park and are associate architects on the proposed East River Park development which will redesign the Harlem river waterfront from 132nd to 145th Streets.
