LOU RAWLS, I PRESUME—Singer/actor Lou Rawls, who heads the "Lou Rawls Parade of Stars" television fund raising special for the United Negro College Fund, recently received an honorary doctorate degree and certificate of commendation from UNCF member school Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Making presentation is Dr. Prezell R. Robinson, president, Saint Augustine's College. Presentation was made recently in Washington, D.C. where Rawls was honored with citation from President Ronald Reagan and the U.S. Department of the Interior, Department of Parks Service. Through the three-year-old Parade of Stare [[Stars]] program, Rawls has generated nearly $10 million to benefit the 42 colleges and universities of the UNCF. [[/caption]]
