For over 50 years we've been helping the black community maintain a sense of unity.

Music brings people together, enriching lives and strengthening spirits.

In the '20s, CBS Records and black Americans such as Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Count Basie brought joy to countless millions. Today, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Gladys Knight, Earth, Wind, & Fire and numerous other black artists continue to enrich life with their music and enable us, at CBS Records, to continue our long tradition of success and leadership in the recording industry.

But man does not live by music alone. So for many years we've also devoted our time, our energy and our resources to organizations dedicated to the betterment of the black community. Like the Congressional Black Caucus, the National Urban League, the National Urban Coalition, the Martin Luther King Center For Social Change, the National Council For Negro Women and many others.

At CBS Records, we care about the black community. You can hear it in our music. And, even more importantly, you can see it in our deeds.
