cultural activities. Yet, this precious resource within our community has faced, and continues to experience, significant professional and personal challenges in their respective endeavors. This Forum will discuss the absence of minorities both before and behind the camera; the significant issues faced by Black athletes both on the field during their relatively short professional careers and after, as they seek to make the transitions to other professions or to the "front office"; and the numerous challenges to our youth who seek careers as artists, athletes or media entrepreneurs. The Forum also will explore ways in which these important image-makers can assist in voter registration, voter education and policy formulation within our community.
