Columbus, the capital city, is a metropolitan area of over a million people. It is within a hour's flight of other major metropolitan areas such as Chicago, New York, and Washington.

Columbus is among the twenty largest cities in the United States; it's bigger than Boston and still growing.

In addition, Columbus ranks as the third largest research and information center in the world, behind only Washington and Moscow. An excellent public school system, efficient public transportation and city road systems, good housing and apartment markets, and a reasonable cost of living make Columbus an attractive place to live.

Columbus has much to offer as a center for the arts, beginning with The Ohio State University-

Columbus supports major music, dance, and theatre groups. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra presents five different season option: orchestra, chamber, contemporary, pops, and special events series. The Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, Opera/Columbus, the Cantari Singers, and the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus are just a few of the professional musical opportunities.
