Mr Sinclair
Prov Mar. Freed. Beaureau

Sir-
As advised, I send to you the woman Phillis. I would not do this but my other servants having left, & the few remaining being on wages, I have no one to take care of her. I paid five hundred Dollars in Gold for her, ten years ago, she being then delicate, to gratify her husband - She waited in the house some six months, & was attacked as you now see.

From that time, I have fed, clothed, & supplied her with medical aid, at a cost of $1,000 or more.

She has no relatives to take charge of her, & she is anxious to [[underlined]] be free [[/underlined]] - I send her with clothes enough to last her for one year - She has borne her sickness with Christian resignation, & I now deliver her to your Beaureau, Knowing it will perform its duty, as it is prepared, in a more satisfactory manner than I have been able to do mine.

I remain Sir,
Respecty
