David Johnson lst officer our S/S Atlantic Sun, bound from Philadelphia towards Liverpool. Sunk by a submarine on the 18th of March 1918 in the North Atlantic position: Latitude 55˚57' N. Longitude 7˚- 8' W. - was made prisoner and kept prisoner 22 days on the "U' boat. On arrival in Germany was brought to a prisoners camp at Brandenburg, later to Villingen Baden.
