Up three thirty On alert at 4 o'clock Clouds & Rain Weather very poor.

Have decided to put a new engine in Rucker's buss.  We correct the M.S.E. and 1st Class Sergt. exam. papers   Some did very well  Sergt Eccleston received 17 1/2% in M.S.E. exam.  Pretty much bluff-. 

Wrote a letter home.

Spent the afternoon getting ships into shape and seeing that everything was cleaned up and inspected.

Workman worked a good part of the night

In the evening took a ride with a wild young lieutenant in Capt Rankins Ford.  "Russ" Pruden, Cosgrove, Martin were in the back seat.  Visited Toul.  Dieulouard Nancy via the Moselle.
