Gnats. Tues. Wea. Clear. SEPTEMBER 30 Ther. 102 I got up at 6:05 and after cleaning up I had breakfast. During the morning, Statler, Cooke, Maywell and I studied weather at our headquarters. Later in the afternoon Statler & Cooke got K.P. I spent most of the day studing [[studying]] Adiabatic charts. After chow I took a shower and dressed in Khaki for a dance at Aberdein. We went by G.I. truck and we sang all the way. The ride out of the woods really is a tough one. It's about a mile and a half. At the dance there was about a third as many girls as fellows so the [[tagging?]] was terrific. Refreshments were soft drinks if we paid for them. It's nothing like Bangor down here. These Southern Belles don't even compare with the [[?]] I had a good time listening to the Juke box. Bed, 11:45
