Betsy Ross Corps to Give Dinner Dance for Visiting Pilots, Friday Evening

Women Flyers Will Be Honor Guests at Luncheon Given by Women's Aero Club Wednesday at Lake Shore Hotel

AMONG the interesting women'a aviation organizations planning social courtesies in connection with the Air Races is the Betsy Ross Corps organized in Washington, D.C., last May, and the Cleveland Women's Aero Club, reorganized this month with Mrs. Dewey Noyes its president.
  The Betsy Ross Corps of Ohio and Indiana district is represented in Cleveland this week by Lieutenant Commander Martha Morehouse-Johnson, with headquarters in Hotel Statler. This group has announced a dinner dance for next Friday evening at that hotel. For this affair many notable flyers will be on the after-dinner program. Walter Logan's Orchestra will furnish the music and will also present a singing trio. Dancing will be from 9 p. m. until 1 a. m. 
  Members of Betsy Ross Corps from other cities, who will be here to serve as hostesses will include Mrs. Mary Alexander, Lynchburg, Va.; Mrs. Maurice Ames, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Walter Champ, New York City; Mrs. Mary Charles, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. May Haizlip. Ferguson, Mo.; Miss Florence Klingensmith, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Lolalo Lutz, Oshkosh, Wis.; Miss Dorothy Lyons, Kansas City, Mo.; Miss Olive Mathews, Dedham, Mass.; Mrs. Florence Barnes, San Marino, Cal.; Mrs. Phoebe Omlie, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Gladys O'Donnell, Long Beach, Cal.; Miss Ruth Stewart, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Opal Kunz, New York City; Miss Lillian Perkins, New York City.

Women's Aero Club Honors Mrs. Stearns

  Mrs. Clark Stearns, president of the Women's National Aeronautics Association of the United States of America, was honor guest at the breakfast which the Cleveland Women's Aero Club gave yesterday at the Westlake Hotel. Blanche Wilcox Noyes, club president, was toastmaster. Among the women flyers who spoke were Amelia Earhart Putnam, Phoebe Omlie, Mary Charles, Florence Klingensmith, Lauretta Schimmoler, Clema Granger and Debie Stanford. Other Derby racers were guests.
